As we grow older, lines and wrinkles can become a concern. They affect everybody! Botox injections are a safe and very effective non-surgical procedure to treat such problems. Using a micro needle, minute amounts of Botox are injected into the areas being treated. It relaxes those facial muscles, stopping them forming lines and wrinkles while not affecting normal facial expressions. The result is a more youthful and pleasing appearance.

What is the treatment like?

Botox treatment is virtually painless. The beneficial effects last from 3-6 months. Treatments may be repeated to achieve long lasting results. No sedation or local anaesthetic is required – it is a safe, quick and straightforward procedure.

What wrinkles can be treated?

This incredibly successful treatment is predominantly used for the softening and smooting of facial expression lines such as:

1. Frown or worry lines
2. Crows Feet
3. Horizontal Forehead Lines

How does it work?

Botox works by blocking impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles responsible for expression lines. The muscles literally ‘hibernate’ allowing the overlaying skin attached to these muscles to heal and rejuvenate (N.B. The muscles will not be paralysed, there will always be some residual movement).

When treatment takes full effect, the skins remain smooth and unwrinkled, while the untreated facial muscles contract in the usual way, allowing normal facial expressions to be unaffected.

What results can I expect?

The results are amazing. A gradual improvement may be seen from as early as 4-5 days following treatment, with the full effects visible by 2-3 weeks.

While you may have earned every one of your worry lines, you no longer have to show them!

How long will the treatment last?

You will notice a gradual fading of the effects of Botox from around 3 months, at which point you may return for a new treatment if you wish to maintain the results achieved.

After several treatments, the effects of Botox may begin to last longer, sometimes up to six months.

Can everyone have the Treatment?

The following are not suitable for treatment:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Clients with any disease affecting muscle activity
• Clients taking certain antibiotics
• Clients with an infection at the proposed injection site

How much does it cost?

A consultation will determine the treatment plan to achieve your goals. The cost will vary depending on how many areas you wish to have treated:

• 1 area – £180
• 2 areas – £250
• 3 areas – £300
