Reynolds Retreat June 2019 News

Welcome to the Reynolds Retreat newsletter.

A healthy lifestyle is so much more than going to the gym. That’s why our fitness experts curate this monthly newsletter giving you fitness, nutrition and well-being tips, because we believe the greatest wealth is health.

Whiskey Event

WHISKEY EVENT

Join us on Friday 14th June from 6pm – 9pm to experience a dram-tastic evening! A whisky expert from Master of Malt will be joining us, sharing his wisdom on all things whisky (and whiskey).

We’ll also be serving whisky inspired food such as bourbon glazed ribs and whisky ice cream! Tickets are £50 per person and include your whisky and food. Call us to book – 01732 446050.

Bamboo Massage

BAMB-OOOH

We’re delighted to announce that we are now offering bamboo massage.

We roll 100% bamboo cane across your body which helps to alleviate muscle tension, aches and pains.

As it’s new, we are offering the massages at an introductory rate of £36 for a back, neck and shoulder, £55 for a full body. Give us a call to book in today – 01732 446050.

Monsoon Shower

LET’S GET STEAMY

One of our favourite things about the poolside area? Our monsoon showers.

Our feature shower combines different water effects such as tropical rain and cold waterfall. Cooling the body after heat treatments or a workout helps the flow of blood to the skin and internal organs, this helps to flush out toxins and close pores.

Microphone

WIN A £9,000 SINGING SCHOLARSHIP

The Reynolds Performing Arts Academy are giving one talented person the chance to win a three year singing scholarship, worth £9,000!

All you have to do for your chance to win is send us a clip of you singing. It doesn’t need to be long or shot on a flashy camera – simply using your phone is good enough for us to see your talent. You can send your clip via Facebook message or email it to rpa@reynoldsgroup.co.uk by June 30th.

Massage

From 31st May – 19th July, you can get full use of our facilities, a 25 minute massage and a special lunch (steak sandwich, chips, chocolate and a beer) for just £65 per person. Book now to take advantage of this great offer.

Psst, you don’t need to be a Dad, or a male, to enjoy this offer. It’s open to anyone who enjoys a spa day and a steak sandwich!

THE BENEFITS OF VITAMIN B12

Everyone is talking about vitamin B12 right now. But what exactly is it and why do you need it?

Without getting too scienc-ey (but if you’re interested in that kinda stuff you can read our latest blog post for more info), Vitamin B12 is also known as cobalamin. It’s a water-soluble vitamin that plays an essential role in a your overall health and well-being.

It helps your body produce red blood cells, which are critical for transporting oxygen throughout the body. It’s also good for supporting healthy bones, hair, skin and nails, and is even good for reducing memory loss!

So you want to make sure that you’re getting enough Vitamin B12, but where can you get it from? You’ll be happy to know that Vitamin B12 is naturally found in most animal products, so for a lot of people it’s easy to get adequate levels from your regular diet. These foods include:

  • Fish
  • Meat
  • Poultry
  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Yogurt
  • Eggs

For some people with special diets, like vegans, getting enough Vitamin B12 isn’t as easy. But there are still ways to make sure you can maintain healthy levels of this vitamin without eating any animal products. These include:

  • Vitamin B12 oral supplements
  • Foods fortified with B12, including some cereals, some plant milks and some soy products
  • Vitamin B12 injections

Getting enough Vitamin B12 through your diet is extremely important, but if you struggle to maintain healthy levels or you are vegan, then simply taking oral supplements, or getting regular Vitamin B12 shots, will do just as well!
