About auditions
Your audition requirements will differ depending on the pathway you have chosen. If you are unsure at this stage please audition for the musical theatre pathway. Auditions should finish early afternoon latest.
MUSICAL THEATRE PATHWAY:
09.30: Dance workshops
Candidates are required to participate in a ballet class and jazz class. Please dress appropriately in fitted dance attire with ballet shoes and then either soft jazz shoes, foot thongs or bare feet.
11.00: Acting workshop
Applicants should wear comfortable clothing and footwear that they can move in easily.
11.45 onwards: Solo singing auditions
Candidates should prepare a musical theatre song of around 32 bars or 1 minute in length. Please bring a backing track for your song on your device.
ACTING PATHWAY:
The acting workshop is compulsory for this pathway, but all other elements are optional.
09.30: Optional dance workshops
11.00: Acting workshop
Candidates will take part in an acting workshop. Candidates wishing to be considered for the Acting Pathway will also need to prepare a monologue of around 90 seconds in length.
11.45 onwards: Optional singing auditions
DANCE PATHWAY:
The dance workshops are compulsory for this pathway, but all other elements are optional.

Candidates are required to participate in a ballet class and jazz class led by a member of the faculty. Applicants are required to dress appropriately in fitted dance attire with ballet shoes and then either soft jazz shoes, foot thongs or bare feet.
Candidates wishing to be considered for the Dance Pathway will also need to prepare a dance solo of approximately 90 seconds in a discipline of their own choice.
11.00: Optional acting workshop
11.45 onwards: Optional singing auditions
All candidates will also be interviewed by the Programme Manager and Assistant Programme Manager.
During the interview, questions will be asked that are pertinent to the candidate’s goals, aspirations and prior academic and performance achievement(s).
All auditions are in person at our Dartford site however, in special circumstances, we may accept a virtual audition.
