Course content
This sports massage course compliments your personal training qualification but can also be done as a stand-alone course.
The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements needed to work effectively and efficiently as a sports massage therapist including:

Anatomy and physiology for sports massage therapy

Professional practice in sports massage therapy
Principles of soft tissue dysfunction, injury and repair

Client consultation, assessment and treatment planning

Aftercare and remedial exercise

Providing sports massage therapy treatments

When does the course start?
Courses start September each year.
Am I eligible for government funding?
To get government funding you must:
- You must be under 19 on your first day of learning
- You must not be attending or enrolled in another government funded course
- you must be a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years
Are there any entry requirements?
It is desirable, but not essential, to have at least one of the following:
- Level 3 beauty or PT qualification
- Level 3 qualification in anatomy and physiology
There is guaranteed entry onto this course for our level 3 Reynolds learners.
There is a career call and interview for all learners in order to be accepted.
How many days a week is the course?
The course is 2 days a week, in person.
How much is the course?
This course is fully government funded as long as you sign up before your 19th birthday.
