Course content
This part time face-to-face course is designed for 18 plus learners who want to become Sports Massage therapists.
The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements needed to work effectively and efficiently as a sports massage therapist including:

Anatomy

Physiology

Principles of health and fitness

Understand the principles of soft tissue dysfunction

Professional practice in sports massage

Providing sports massage treatments
Additional CPD Workshop



The CPD workshop is a day comprised of learning specific aftercare for rehabilitation including flexibility, mobility and strength building. This is vital for sports massage client aftercare. We also invite industry experts to demonstrate skills and answer any questions learners may have about the industry.

Am I eligible to join?
This course is for 18 plus learners. This qualification was developed collaboratively with input from the industry through the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the General Council for Massage Therapies (GCMT).
How many days a week is the course?
The course is 16 weeks, 1 day a week.
How much is the course?
Our courses are fully funded* for ages 18 and for 19+ learners funding is available via the advanced learning loan*.

Are there any entry requirements?
You must have at least one of the following:
- Level 3 beauty or PT qualification
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in anatomy and physiology
After completing the Reynolds Level 3 fitness and personal training course you may have direct entry to the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Sports massage.
