Course content
Our level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy has been specifically designed for the 16-18 age group and will develop the knowledge and skills to prepare learners for employment as a beauty therapist. Learners will have their beauty therapy skills assessed in a real working environment.
This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty therapist including:
Provide facial skincare treatments
Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes
Carry out waxing services
Provide manicures & pedicures
Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
Develop and maintain effectiveness at work, and with promotion of services or products
Additional content unique to Reynolds
Provide makeup treatments
Visit to professional Beauty show London Excel
Industry week
An optional 1-day Professional Beauty Guild Accredited Gel nails course at an additional fee of £100

The course is 3 days per week, during term time, for 1 year
What are the entry requirements?
As a government requirement, and an essential aspect of the Beauty Therapy course, you will be required at the time of enrolment, to sit an initial assessment and diagnostic tests. This allows Reynolds to gauge your level, acknowledge prior achievement and qualification(s) and identify any support that you may need.
Who is this qualification for?
The VTCT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as a beauty therapist.
Am I eligible to join?
To be eligible to join:
- You must not actively be enrolled in, or attending, another
government funded course. - You must have been living in the UK or EU for 3 years+
How much is the course?
Full government funding is available for learners aged 16-18, dependant on eligibility. For more information please speak to a member of our staff.
Do I need to buy any Kit or uniform?
A kit list will be sent to you to purchase before the start of the course. The current kit cost for level 2 is £180.14 (subject to change).
You will also be required to purchase uniform as per our uniform policy.
