My name is Ellie, and I am the Group Exercise Co-Ordinator for The Reynolds Group. I have been with Reynolds for several years. I started when I was 16 in our Reynolds Training Academy, studying a Level 3 Diploma in Performance and Production Arts, and eventually achieving my Level 4 Foundation Degree in this same subject. Unfortunately, my time in the studio at RTA was cut short, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I went from dancing in the open studios, to dancing in my kitchen and living rooms. It was from here, I knew that the industry had taken a massive shift, with many agencies closing their books for periods of time, and performance-based jobs hard to find, especially as a new graduate.
Coming out of the pandemic, I was given the opportunity by one of my tutors to broaden my skill base, at our training academy. I wanted to be versatile in the doors I could open for myself, so started to begin my Personal Training journey. I was at our academy in Rainham, learning and honing my skills as a trainer and an instructor. I had a passion for exercise, which went hand in hand with my performance background, and this felt like the perfect next step. Fast forward on almost a year post-graduation, and I was employed as a Personal Trainer, my first gym-based job, at Reynolds Fitness Spa Bexley. My role included teaching classes, delivering inductions and sessions and basic gym maintenance.
Whilst a PT, I found one of my passions focused in Group Exercise. I loved teaching, and making sure members left studios with a smile on their faces. This led me to my next step, in which I was given the role of Group Exercise Coordinator in Autumn 2021. This role has me managing upwards of 30 external instructors, creating our class timetables in club, and delivering group training sessions to develop the quality of our classes and teams. I am still delivering classes, and working with my regular clients, whilst taking a large focus in on our Group Exercise here at The Reynolds Group. What I have achieved from progressing through our Training Academy is something I will always be grateful for as it has opened so many doors for my career and personal progressions!
I started Reynold’s training academy in 2015 where I studied level 2 and 3 beauty therapy. I then came to the Retreat to do an apprenticeship where after Reynolds offered me a full time contract. I progressed from a therapist to a senior therapist, to at present Head therapist. I now have a team of 14 therapists which will be will growing with time as the business progresses.
My duties include the day to day management of the treatment areas to maintain the highest level of professionalism and cleanliness throughout, stock taking, ordering products ensuring the stock is always at hand for the therapists, 1-1 meetings, target setting, event planning. I am fully qualified in all treatments across the board.
My favourite treatment is body massage as I feel each client is different so I can tailor make each massage to the individual client.
Hi, my name is Jack and I have worked for Reynolds for a few years now, my Reynolds journey started with the training academy where I studied to become a fully qualified personal trainer. The course was much more detailed than I initially thought it would be, I gained a level 2 Gym Instructing qualification and a level 3 Personal Training qualification. After that I started working for a couple of gyms where I gained experience and finally after 2 years, I came back to work for The Reynolds Group at our Bexley site.
Working for The Reynolds Group helped me to add more experience and qualifications, I gained experience and knowledge of teaching a variety of different classes, meeting and greeting new members every day and building repour with them and gaining knowledge of maintaining the spa facilities and gym facilities.
After 2 years of being a PT at Reynolds I decided to progress myself and during lockdown I successfully completed a course in recruitment, in March of this year I transitioned from being a PT with Reynolds to now recruiting for Reynolds across all their sites helping to find PTs, receptionists, beauty therapists and many other roles that need to be filled. In the future I will be working closely with our training academy to help our newly qualified graduates get placed into jobs around the southeast and London.
