PERFORMING ARTS
Applications for September 2022 are now OPEN!
RPA offers three years of full-time professional training for learners aged 16+ in either Dance, Musical Theatre or Acting. The course consists of our 2-year Elite Sixth Form (UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts) for students who want to pursue a career in the arts. Subsequently learners have the opportunity to progress onto our 1-year Bespoke course ‘The Verge Collective’, a third year of outstanding training that is also accessible through direct entry (UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance – equivalent to the first year of a degree). Students can benefit from high contact hours, tutors direct from the industry, affordable fees, small classes, Industry workshops and much more. With the addition to study the vocational DDE teaching qualification, LAMDA exams, improvers classes, advance Company X classes and take private singing lessons.

BEAUTY THERAPY
Two of our Level 4 students have successfully started their new roles as Spa Therapists at Reynolds Retreat and Reynolds Bexley. Joining them on the Level 4 course is the Head Therapist at Reynolds Bexley.
Our next Level 4 Advanced Beauty Therapy course begins March 2022.
Other Beauty Therapy course start dates are Reflexology March 2022, Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy September 2022, Level 3 Makeup Artistry September 2022.
PT & SPORTS MASSAGE
Our Sports Massage learners have their event with RPA on 22nd November completing their assessments. Practical is well underway in our Sports Massage course and our learners are thriving.
Level 2 PT have completed and passed their Anatomy exams and are beginning their group inductions and working on their client profiles.

SALON SESSIONS
Our beauty therapy learners completed their first salon sessions and have done amazingly. It has been great to welcome back clients into the academy since Covid-19.
This month the learners have offered manicure treatments, facial treatments and body massage treatments.

We kindly ask for a cash donation from the client for the treatment they have received to go towards further purchases the learners would like to make.
NOVEMBER AWARENESS
November is a busy month re awareness days! Not only is it Movember, men’s health awareness month, particularly around mental health, and suicide, but also:
13 November is World Kindness Day, its ongoing theme of being kind to self, kind to others, and doing good does us good; acts of consideration can break down barriers and brighten our and others’ lives.
13 – 19 November is Transgender Awareness Week, with Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20th November, for all transgender people who have lost their lives to suicide or acts of anti-transgender violence.
There is also Anti-Bullying Awareness Week. This year’s theme is ‘One kind word’, emphasising the positive impact a small, kind gesture, comment or word can have on someone.
However, kindness is the underlying theme for them all, becoming more important these days than ever it seems, whether in person or online. Kindness effects our, and others’, mental health too. So, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”.
