Vibe Arts & RPA Associates
We run an associates programme in musical theatre in association with Vibe Arts.
Vibe Arts & RPA Associates is held on the last Sunday of every month running from 10am-3pm. If you are serious about training in Musical Theatre and want to work with current industry professionals this monthly session is perfect for you.
Entry is by audition only. We audition every 3 months and these dates, along with details about what happens on an audition day, are published on the Vibe Arts website. Our audition panel always includes industry professionals as well as an agent or casting professional.
The professional contacts that we have here at RPA ensure that the workshops and quality of teaching at Vibe Arts & RPA Associates is of the highest calibre. We give the learners all of the variety that the Musical Theatre genre encompasses, enriching, rather than replacing, the excellent training they already receive at their dance or theatre schools.
What happens on the Audition Day:
- A professional West End standard physical and vocal warm up
- Ice breaker games
- A masterclass with an Industry professional
- Learn a dance routine and perform to the panel in small groups
- Perform a solo song or monologue to the panel (to be prepared in advance)
- Receive written feedback
Following the audition, those successful will be invited to join us for monthly training sessions. Vibe Arts was founded in 2016 by Principals Matthew Rowland and Alex Turney who met studying a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Arts Educational Schools, London. Alex and Matthew have both performed in London’s West End in shows including ‘Waitress’, ‘Joseph’, ‘Matilda’, ‘Once’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. As well as the Associates programme, they run a number of Adult classes during the week at RPA and in September will be launching a weekly Saturday afternoon school that consists of Junior Vibe (4-6 years) and Main School (7-18).
