Spa Advisor

An opportunity has come up to join our Spa Reservations Team at our flagship Spa The Reynolds Retreat in Borough Green. Working under our Spa Manager, the Spa Advisor will be responsible for all aspects of Spa Bookings, Online Spa Bookings, Online 3rd Party Bookings, Claiming 3rd Party Vouchers, plus Facility Support & Training. The Reynolds Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all Spa Bookings run smoothly whilst providing an excellent customer journey.

Job Specifications include but are not limited to:

  • Complete Spa Bookings and ensure all reservations are properly made
  • High quality spa tours and phone sales are always expected and be responsible for high conversion rates

  • Complete weekly GymSales targets (Club Prospecting Software)
  • Working with Head Therapist & other Spa Advisors to ensure that all Beauty Treatments and Spa Day enquires are followed up regularly
  • Working as a group to ensure call and sales targets are met
  • Customer Complaints – ensure that all complaints received are recorded and immediately passed to Club GM or Head Therapist
  • To act in a helpful & Positive manner to all members, keeping them informed of all available services and activities as well as upcoming events

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen within the Reynolds Group, and we are looking to recruit a Head Chef for our Waterleaf restaurant, based at 17 acre retreat in Borough Green, who will also train up-and-coming chefs as part of our brand new Reynolds Chef Academy. The Reynolds Group is a long-established business with a growing chain of Fitness Spas and a highly successful national training business, delivering the highest quality, award winning training from industry professionals

We are working hard to drive the restaurant business forward to attract local and destination trade (who are not members of the Retreat) and are endeavouring to create a brasserie style restaurant serving breakfasts and lunches in the first instance, as well as our existing afternoon teas, all while maintaining the ethos of the Retreat as a Spa, Fitness and Country Club.

The ideal candidate needs to be an experienced chef who can also train to Level 3 in Professional Cookery. Creating a modern, cohesive and calm culture in the kitchen and working closely with the Front of House is a really important part of what we stand for at the Retreat, so experience of mentoring and coaching staff is also a quality we’re looking for.

  • Kitchen experience and Level 3 Professional Cookery, or above, is essential.
  • QTLS, Further Education, Assessor or IQA qualifications are desirable but not essential. (Training and qualifications can be provided)
  • Holding a Personal Licence is also desirable but not essential (training can be provided)

Duties will include:

  • Working alongside our Food and Beverage Manager to create new and inspiring menus for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Having an excellent understanding of dietary needs and how we can create inclusive menus in a safe environment is a massive plus.
  • Lecturing 2 days a week in our new Chef Academy to deliver Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery, as well as other qualifications as we expand our offering.
  • Driving the present business forward to expand on our existing offering (currently mainly Spa meals and members snacking) to bring new people into the restaurant for breakfast and lunch.
  • Creating a social media presence and designing theme events to drive business forward.
  • To work within budgets and to understand the P&L of the business.
  • Maintaining excellent Food Safety and cleanliness standards and documentation.
  • To mentor and nurture the current kitchen team, and to work cohesively with the FOH manager and team to create a calm, professional and enjoyable working environment.

Current business will not include evenings, but this will change as the business expands. Evenings will be required during assessment weeks for the Chef Academy. Flexibility is important. Principal

Principal of Training, Safeguarding and Prevent (SGP) Lead, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) Lead.

Whilst we are a national training provider, the position will be mainly based at our Academy in Dartford, Kent.

Job Purpose:

To provide strategic leadership and direction to the staff and students of Reynolds Training Academy ensuring continuous quality improvement is upheld in each of the programmes of training. The post requires excellent knowledge and experience of working within the post-16 education sector. The Principal is responsible for ensuring good and safe practice, policy development, (writing and reviewing), self-assessment report (SAR), quality improvement plan (QIP), curriculum planning, PAYE and freelance staff contracts, being the nominee for all inspections and audit, as well as leading, mentoring and developing a diverse team of staff and students. Upholding staff CPD and regular staff 1-1’s and appraisals, ensuring a robust student support service functions within the organisation to enable and to facilitate the delivery of high-quality education and training across all areas of the curriculum.

To assist the Governance Board: in securing the highest possible educational standards for students and in creating an atmosphere in which staff have high expectations of students.

Communicating and working with the CEO, Business Development and Data Analysis manager, MIS Data officer, Finance Director, Programme Managers and ESFA. Areas of business include budgeting and forecasting for student intake, achievement and progression, overall development of the training business and securing financial contracts with direct government contracts and other stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To work effectively with the Governance Board, CEO, Senior Management Team and Programme Managers to ensure the strategic aims, objectives, vision, mission, and values of the training academy are achieved.
  • Responsible for curriculum development through collaborative working with Programme Managers and Heads of Department.
  • Leadership and Management of the training academy staff and students across all departments.
  • To oversee the supervision of Reynolds Training Academy sites, business support team, office, administrative and other support staff, in conjunction with other relevant line managers.
  • Setting an example of high-quality performance in standards, outcome and leadership.
  • To lead and co-ordinate activities to meet the requirements of any external assessment or inspection process imposed upon the training academy, acting as the nominee for Ofsted and Matrix inspections.

  • To be responsible for ensuring the training academy maintains its validation status with relevant awarding organisations, for example, VTCT, UAL, Active IQ, stakeholders and FE partners.

  • Liaise with performing arts programme manager and business support team for use of studios, including studio theatre and operational guidance for SFX.
  • Manage staff absence and annual leave, discuss with programme managers and senior administrator cover requirements.

Safeguarding and Prevent Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and communicate with the specialist counsellor, lifestyle coach and mentor on policies, tutorials, workshops, 1-1’s with students and pastoral support.
  • Part of this role is to support the identification of at-risk students and use early help systems to signpost and link into children and young people’s mental health services.
  • Oversight and measurement of the delivery of interventions delivered and the impact within the educational setting.
  • Support staff in contact with students who have been identified with SEMH (social, emotional, mental health needs) to help raise awareness, and develop the confidence of all staff. This is achieved through communication with programme managers, RTA’s counsellor, lifestyle coach and mentor, tutors, and learners themselves.
  • Communicate with the EHCP manager to identify current needs of students.
  • Act as a link person to outside agencies and specialist services for mental health and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate the training academy’s provision for students’ mental health needs, including oversight of interventions where they are being delivered by staff and assess the outcomes of interventions on students’ attainment and wellbeing.

  • Analyse the training academy’s academic data, including exam results, report grades, attendance figures and other specific academic areas.
  • Create, oversee, and develop the training academy’s use of data for the Senior Management Team (SMT) and auditing by external bodies.
  • Produce clear, concise, accurate information to support programme managers and tutors in raising standards of performance in the training academy including under achieving students.
  • Determine the need for and arrange provision, analysis and evaluation of data and detailed reports/information.
  • Produce KPI information for the Governance Board, SMT, programme managers and other committees.
  • Provide data when requested to the CEO and senior management team and outside agencies, such as Ofsted and Matrix.
  • Assist the programme managers with training academy curriculum/qualification data management.
  • Lead and communicate responsibility with the business development manager and MIS manager for data submissions to the ESFA, and SLC.
  • Line manage the business support team and other staff such as the Business Development Manager and others that support quality assurance and compliance with regulatory processes, expectations, and procedures.

Business Development and Data Analyst

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

This is a diverse and demanding role the purpose of which is to lead on the Training Academy’s business development initiatives. It is expected that the work of the post holder will lead to substantial, direct improvement of the student experience and the training academy’s achievements in recruitment, national league tables, financial contracts and bid writing to secure funding.

The business development and data analyst will serve as the main point of contact and directly manage key relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role holder will line manage the MIS support team. The business development and data analyst role holder will ensure that partnerships are mutually beneficial and that there is synergy between education and engagement with these organisations. The post carries responsibility for identifying risks in the delivery of business development initiatives and collaboratively developing processes to mitigate those risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high value management reports to inform operational and strategic decision making.
  • Audit and analyse the effectiveness of external engagement activities, providing qualitative and quantitative information to the senior management team on current and prospective activities.
  • Regularly review dashboards, reporting systems and toolset to ensure that they meet the evolving needs of the training academy as well as regulatory, statutory and funding methodologies.
  • Provide reports that enable the tracking of learners and their progress e.g. attendance, achievement, retention and pass rate (QAR) reports, and reporting out of proprietary systems.
  • Provide information and reports to support the training academy’s quality cycle, including but not limited to self-assessment reviews (SAR), performance management reviews and quality improvement plan (QIP).
  • Proactively liaise with external partners at a senior level, including identifying and approaching new contacts and persuading them to partner with the training academy on relevant educational initiatives and programmes. Manage and oversee the documentation and maintenance of these networks, to ensure information can be shared where appropriate with others in the training academy and faculty departments that may benefit from these networks.
  • Drive the training academy’s business development, planning and working on strategic decisions in the implementation of business development to enhance the training academy’s profile.
  • Provide reports for Governors, SMT and Programme Managers on key performance indicators throughout the college, as required.
  • Support the Principal, SMT, Programme Managers and business support teams with ad-hoc requests for data and information, providing the output in a consistent, accessible format.
  • Undertake market research for potential new areas of training academy business (for example executive education, short courses, online platforms and other appropriate modules or programmes).

MIS Data Officer

Responsible to: Business Development and Data Analyst

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

Working as part of the MIS and Business Support team, the role will provide accurate data in a variety of mediums on a timely basis for internal and external purposes. The role will lead on supporting the information needs of the training academy through the development and delivery of reporting services and data transfer routines, helping to develop the presentation of information through the use of information visualization tools and techniques.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • To lead on the compilation and maintenance of the training academy’s suite of reports which includes funding, enrolment and projected data vs training targets by curriculum area for management information and planning purposes.
  • To maintain and support systems for the extraction and secure electronic transfer of data between internal systems and external systems and agencies.
  • To provide reports on information to include registers, and funding.
  • To ensure that the training academy data is analysed in detail and reports are available that would support inspection and auditor requirements.
  • To highlight to the appropriate members of staff when reports show variances or discrepancies so that closer scrutiny and corrective action can be taken if necessary.
  • To provide senior managers and governors with a range of performance indicators which will ensure they are aware of the financial and other implications of management decisions in relation to Learners and the Curriculum.
