From 3 years up
Modern Theatre Dance defies a single permanent definition. This is largely due to its ability to adapt, develop and evolve with the changing fashion in dance. Through a carefully planned and well established examination syllabus, which combines modern dance, jazz and other more funky dance styles, young people are trained to become disciplined and versatile dancers who have a professional attitude towards dance.

Pre Primary Modern 3-5 years
Primary Modern 6-7 years
Grade 1 Modern 7-8 years
Grade 2 Modern 9 years
Grade 3 Modern 10 years
Grade 4 11 years up
Grade 5 Modern must have taken exams to attend this standard.
Grade 6 Modern must have taken exams to attend this standard.
Intermediate Modern must have taken exams to attend this standard.
Advanced 1 Modern must have taken exams to attend this standard.

dance staff.

Uniform
Pre Primary Modern to Grade 2
Navy blue leotard, bare feet, hair tied neatly.
Grade 3 to Major Levels
Turquoise key hole leotard, black leggings, bare feet.
Boys uniform
Black tracksuit bottoms
White close fitting T-shirt
Bare feet
(white leotard and black footless tights optional)

New students can attend wearing suitable clothing for a maximum of 5 weeks, after which time uniform will be compulsory.
