1. Management Team

Ellie Miles, General Manager, Sittingbourne & Bexley

Ellie Miles

Ellie joined the Reynolds team in May 2008 as the new General Manager in Sittingbourne and has recently joined Bexley as well. Ellie has over twenty years management experience previously working in hotel management and as a licensee for many years. She then moved into golf health and fitness management, ranging from event management to operations. Ellie is delighted to be a part of the Reynolds team and is very passionate about the Reynolds Group and Reynolds ethos and our aim to give the very best service we can to help members achieve their goals. Ellie would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the club and looks forward to meeting you all over the coming months.

Julie Smith, General Manager, Rainham

Julie Smith

Julie started working for Reynolds in 2003 and in the past five years has enjoyed progressing from fitness instructor to manager within that time. She is very passionate about health and fitness and believes in practising what she preaches by regularly working out in the gym after her working day! Julie looks forward to continuing her career with Reynolds over the coming years.

2. Fitness Professionals

Amy Casey, Fitness Professional, Sittingbourne

Originally from the outback in Australia, Amy has worked in the fitness industry in both Australia and the U.K. and joined the Reynolds team in spring 2010.

Amy is a qualified REPS/CYQ level 2&3 Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer and she also holds a Power Plate instructor qualification and an Advanced Nutrition certificate.

Her passion is to create fun and interesting programmes to ensure members enjoy their time at the Gym, and to offer realistic and reliable nutrition advice to help members stick with their healthy eating plan.

Amy’s interests include; training in the gym, horse riding, volleyball and walking her dog Ernie.

From the 19th July Amy will be available for personal training, so book now!

Mark Dopson, Fitness Professional, Rainham

Mark Dopson

Mark joined the Old Parsonage in Rainham in January 2006 having worked at Esporta since leaving university in 2001. He qualified through YMCA and gained several coaching certificates.

He has always kept himself fit having represented his school at athletics, football, basketball and rugby (he now plays for Gillingham Anchorians Rugby Club). At college he discovered the gym and hasn’t left since! This year he started running 10km races and clocked a 43 minute time at Ashford and is aiming for a sub 40 minute race before the year ends.

Mark’s specialist areas are sport specific training and free weight training so any sports people out there should see Mark for new programme ideas and also if anyone wants to give free weights a go please pay Mark a visit.

Emma Driskel, Fitness Professional, Bexley

Emma is new to the industry and has been working for the Reynolds Group
since the New Year after completing an apprenticeship with Reynolds. She is currently CYQ/ NVQ Level 2 trained and will be going on to do her personal training at Level 3 in the next couple of months. When Emma’s not working out in the gym, she regularly takes part in Multi Martial Arts classes and is occasionally asked to teach smaller groups. Emma is looking forward to settling in at Reynolds and getting to work with the members at Bexley.

Andi Freeman, Fitness Professional, Bexley

Andi Freeman

Andi has been with Reynolds since the Bexley club opened in 2003. Prior to this he was the Fitness Manager of another health club for four years. Before embarking on his fitness career he achieved his Level 3 Personal Trainer award with Central YMCA qualifications and an NVQ in Coaching and Facility Operations. Andi’s main strengths are training people with various sports specific needs, in particular, football.

Indeed, Andi used to pay for the Chelsea Youth team in his younger days and maintains his football skills by playing semi-professional football for a local club. When Andi is not playing football you will more than likely see him in the gym training for his next adventure. He successfully ran the 2008 London Marathon and hopes to run again next year.

Kirsty Kemp, Fitness Professional, Rainham

Kirsty Kemp

Kirsty joined Reynolds in October 2007 after completing her A Levels earlier that year. Kirsty has always been active and interested in fitness and the Performing Arts – she started dance and drama at an early age and progressed right through to A Level also gaining a sports leadership qualification. Kirsty recently completed her YMCA Level 2 Gym Instructor course with Reynolds and hopes to continue on to her level 3 qualification in the near future.

Roi Larrett, Lead Coach, Sittingbourne

Roi Larrett

Having previously worked for the Reynolds Group at the Rainham club, Roi rejoined the group in July 2008 at Sittingbourne. Roi’s passion for all aspects of health and fitness is what drives him forward and over the last ten years has had a variety of jobs that have utilised this. From serving in Iraq as part of the British Army to working in a Medway Maritime Hospital as a physiotherapy assistant Roi has developed his passion further, leading to his graduation from university as a Sport Scientist.

Roi has a variety of qualifications including BAWLA, Health and Fitness Teachers Diploma and a Bsc Hons in Sport Science with Fitness at grade 2:1. His interests include helping members with specific conditions such as sciatica, scoliosis and training related injuries. His aim is to help everyone achieve their goals through training specific to them, that is functionally correct as well as encouraging members to work hard in the Keiser and core ball classes that he teaches.

Ross Miles, Fitness Professional, Sittingbourne

Ross Miles

Since completing his Level 2 Apprenticeship with Reynolds in February, Ross had begun working part time with us, but has now become a full time instructor. Ross is 21 years old and a qualified hairdresser but fitness has always been his main passion.

Since joining Reynolds, Ross has also gained qualifications in Pilates (incorporating core stability) and Keiser Cycling instruction. Ross is also about to embark on a Level 3 Yoga teacher training course (incorporating anatomy and physiology of the body). His passion for fitness is a lifestyle and he is looking forward to bringing his knowledge and class expertise to Reynolds.

Martyn Neaves, Fitness Professional, Sittingbourne

Martyn Neaves

Martyn has been a fitness instructor for just over 3 years during which he has gained valuable experience. He joined Reynolds in February 2008 and describes it as being a huge confidence builder. Martyn puts 110 per cent into everything he does and his main aim to to get people the results they want and to achieve their goals to their full potential. Martyn has recently completed his Level 3 Personal Training certificate with Reynolds. He loves working out and keeping fit and his passion is football and golf. Martyn also teaches some of Reynolds Keiser and circuit classes.

Jean Pendrich, Swimming Instructor, Sittingbourne

Jean Pendrich

Jean has been teaching swimming for almost 25 years. Her career started as an international swimmer at the age of twelve when she was selected to represent the country in many national and international competitions including the Commonwealth Games in 1970. Jean’s career changed when she married and went on to have four children, and taught each of them to swim. Missing the swimming she went back into training and gained two silver medals and a bronze in the World Games in 1985 in Toronto, Canada.

Jean’s aims as an instructor are to encourage everyone to learn to swim properly with the correct style and technique. Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do for your health and overall wellbeing. Jean looks forward to meeting our members and helping them to achieve their own personal goals.

Heather Smith, Fitness Professional, Rainham

Heather Smith

Heather joined us here at Reynolds in November 2006. She has always been an active person and started dancing at the age of 4 and continued right through to a performing arts college. After an injury Heather went on to become a qualified aerobics instructor. Prior to Reynolds, Heather was a Retail Manager where she learned valuable experience in good customer service. Heather’s specialist areas are cardiovascular exercise but most importantly listening to her clients and finding out what works for them and giving them the most out of their membership.

Tony Smith, Fitness Professional, Sittingbourne

Tony Smith

Tony, having recently qualified as a Level 2 and 3 Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer with REPS accreditation, decided to enter a new and exciting career with Reynolds. His main priorities are helping others to achieve their health and fitness goals and aspirations. Tony is a friendly, approachable person and highly motivated with a passion for fitness. If you don’t find Tony working the gym floor you will most likely find him training in the gym himself! Tony also enjoys playing football twice a week for a local team.

Anna Torikian, Sports Massage Therapist & Aqua / Pilates Instructor, Sittingbourne

Anna Torikian

Anna joined the Reynolds team in August 2008 as a full time Senior Instructor and is now our in house sports massage therapist as well as teaching Aqua and Pilates classes in the club.
Anna’s qualifications include Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Sports Massage, Level 2 Pilates Fundamentals and Speedo Shallow Water Aqua certification. Exercise, fitness and being able to assist people towards achieving their individual goals is her motivation for getting up each day and coming to work. Anna has a diverse range of previous occupations, ranging from working with horses at a riding centre for the disabled to spending her days in the City on the trading floor of a major bank! Approaching her 30th year, Anna made the decision to follow her heart and change careers to make her life at work her hobby.

Nikki Wright, Fitness Professional, Bexley

Nikki Wright

Nikki has been with Reynolds since 1998 at the original site in Dartford and qualified that year as a City and Guilds Level 2 Instructor. Nikki thrives on motivating people of all ages and has “special way” of encouraging members to get the most out of their workout. Nikki is also a fully qualified Gym Assessor so is fully aware of what it takes to be a great instructor. On top of this Nikki keeps her fitness levels high by training in the gym and attending regular aerobic workshops run the YMCA. Her latest asset is her qualification that enables her to teach Keiser classes. Nikki also teaches circuit training and hopes to teach more classes in the future.

3. Health & Beauty

Rachel Collier, Beauty Manager

Rachel Collier

Rachel is 23 years old and after joining the Reynolds Beauty Team in March 2009 has recently been promoted to Beauty Manager. Rachel has over 6 years experience and has worked with different skincare ranges during this time but has used Dermalogica for the last 3 years. Rachel enjoys a challenge and looks forward to getting to know her new clients.

Kelly Carson, Beauty Therapist

Kelly has recently completed her Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy and joined the Reynolds Beauty Team in October 2009. Kelly has 3 years experience in beauty therapy and is trained in all areas of Dermalogica. Kelly is thoroughly looking forward to getting to know her new clients and providing them with a first class service.
