Our ‘Member of the Month’ awards for November are David and Tanya Dewberry, Richard Edwards, David Mawhinney and Martine Kay-Jenkins.
David and Tanya have been members at Reynolds for around 3 years now, and they always come in to train together. Coming in as a couple they both motivate each other to work hard.
David and Tanya attend a lot of classes at Reynolds including Kickboxercise, Vipr, Body Combat and Core Stability. They always work really hard in every class they attend and are happy and outgoing members.
Both Tanya and David have had long term injuries, including osteoarthritis and bone and joint problems. This has not stopped them continuing to train and always put 100% effort into what they do. They have both shown a lot of improvement throughout their time at Reynolds. Well done, and keep up the hard work!
“We love coming to Reynolds. The staff at Reynolds make the gym the welcoming place that it is. All staff take the time out to get to know each member and that’s what keeps us coming.”
– Tanya Dewberry
Richard has been with us just a short while, but has made a huge impact on us all in that time. Richard is an ex serviceman in the Royal Navy having served for 12 years and then working for the Royal Mail for 35 years. Unfortunately, Richard had to retire due to ill health as he contracted Glaucoma. In 2013 he had surgery to help improve his sight but it has deteriorated ever since, and he is now severely visually impaired. As you can imagine this has been extremely hard for himself and his family, knocking his confidence and at times he has struggled to leave the house. His lovely wife Julie encouraged him to join the gym (which we are thankful for) and in doing so this has hugely increased his health & wellbeing.
The instructors train Richard twice a week and put him through his paces doing a variety of different training exercises some of which out of his comfort zone, where he has excelled in everything we have given him. We all admire Richard for his self-motivation and belief.
Since joining us he has increased his overall physical and mental health and we hope this continues to improve. Richard is a role model to us all. Thank you.
We look forward to continuing working with Richard and setting new goals and challenges.

David has been a member at Sittingbourne since April. He has been enthusiastic and committed since day one and already achieved great results. David always has a smile on his face and is always eager and ready to train. We are delighted to nominate him as our member of the month.
“David is always so happy and full of life. He always gives it his all in his workouts, and continues to improve everyday. Definitely one of our friendliest members!”
- Aimee, Personal Trainer
“Being a member at Reynolds is an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the personal trainers are always available to give advice and encouragement. Joining Reynolds has been a lifestyle change for me and I have since lost weight and inches but my best improvement has been the control of my diabetes.”
- David Mawhinney
Martine is a delightful member who brings laughter and warmth throughout the club. Her positivity and vibrant smile circulates the club on every visit.
“Martine is a friendly and committed individual which has been apparent from her very first personal programming session where we set out her goals that she would like to achieve and put in place an effect exercise regime to follow. Her commitment has been faultless and has now led her to achieving the goals that she initially set and is now pushing herself even further onto new goals.”
