Just over a month ago at Reynolds Fitness Spa, there was much excitement with bulbs flashing and models grooming getting ready for a hot photo shoot for Movember!
Our team showed their support for research into Prostate Cancer & unveiled their moustaches to raise much needed awareness for the cause. The opposite image shows the result for three of our PTs at the end of their Movember challenge, not bad guys!
Here’s what they had to say before the challenge:
“I have been a Personal Trainer for over 17 years and have also worked with clients suffering from this terrible illness. Although it’s getting better, we need to do more to raise awareness about Prostate Cancer. 47% of testicular cancer will occur in men under 35 years and over 90% occurs in men under 55 years, so it is good to get men talking openly about the subject”, commented Andi Freeman, Personal Trainer at our Bexley gym.
“I have worked with clients who have suffered with and continue to fight Prostate Cancer and it’s a small thing we can do to show our support. The statistics are alarming and over 40,000 men will be diagnosed with Testicular Cancer over the next 12 months. We need to be talking about the problem and encouraging other people to do the same,” said Dan Jones, Personal Trainer at our Bexley gym.
“The training we deliver is for overall health and wellbeing, it’s not just about looking good. By exercising for just 10 minutes a day and finding time to relax, you can actually reduce the chances of getting Cancer as well as other illness’s including: Arthritis; Alzheimer’s; Diabetes and Heart Disease to name a few,” says Giorgio Pollio, Personal Trainer at our Bexley gym. “Although today was a laugh and that’s great, it’s good for us to encourage men to talk about Testicular Cancer and ensure they conduct regular checks in the same way that we do”.
It’s not too late to donate and support the Reynolds Fitness Mos, via our Movember page.
Donations for this worthy cause can also still be received at our Fitness Spas.
Lots of our PTs took part across all our sites, so thank you guys for all your efforts.
